March Yoga Experience: Day 3


By now, I am starting to feel a lot better, though I know my body is still doing heavy cleansing. Today was a crazy day at work, so after I stopped off at the store and made dinner, I decided to take a night off from yoga and talk to my dear friend Kathleen and then my mom. Both conversations fueled me–Kathleen and I talked about spirituality, and my mom and I talked about the yoga cleanse and food ideas (she is in Seattle but doing it with me!).

Oatmeal made with soy milk with apple and walnuts

Lunch
Hummus, 2 dolmas, guacamole and carrots

Snack
Half an apple and 2 T. of peanut butter

Dinner
Toasted Quinoa Salad with Scallops and Snow Peas

Morning Chat
How does my stomach feel – settled, upset, gaseous, calm? Consider and note what I ate in the past 24 hours.
I felt a little heavy this morning, probably from the burger. I have noticed more and more that when I eat meat, my body really slows down.

How does my body feel, in particular my head (clear, heavy, agitated)? What is my energy level like?
Energy level is starting to feel better. I still wanted to sleep 9 hours though.

Evening Chat
What was my energy level like today?
Exhausted! I am really tired of being tired. I decided to listen to my body and take it easy tonight.

Did I eat anything that produced unfavorable results or favorable ones?
Up until dinner, everything I ate was fairly simple in terms of flavor. Dinner, while quite good, may have been a bit much for me. This is an interesting observation for me.

Overall – how do I FEEL?
I still feel tired, low energy at the end of the day. No yoga today either, so maybe that’s a factor.
